Sometimes it is a both a blessing and a curse to be a creative person! I have been decorating the xmas trees for two weeks now. That is right I said xmas TREES! What started simply as a new tree for the living room has grown into a whole house affair. We decided it was time to retire the artificial tree we have been using for the past 15 years, with a new, fresher, more realistic looking one. We found a tree that was covered in white fake snow flocking that was so incredibly realistic that you could hardly tell it was fake after touching it. So it became our new xmas tree. At 8 feet, it dominates the living room and front window of the house. I became inspired to decorate the tree all in white, clear and silver, creating a winter fantasy look. Of course the wreath on the front door had to match, that then spread to the dining room decor. I then decided to put up our 60's aluminum tree in the family room with all white ornaments, giving a very mod look to the room. But what to do with all the other ornaments we have aquired over the years? I creatively decided to put up two more smaller trees, one in the master bedroom of our keepsake ornaments, and one in the guest room of all our many teddy bear ornaments. That tree was a focal point at the end of the hall and looked great, but the room is extremely modern and the tree just looked out of place. The little tree on the dresser in the master bedroom looked equally out of place....so I got creative again. I would make an extreme mod all white tree of styrofoam for the modern guest room, and move the teddy tree to the master bedroom, and the keepsake tree into the antique furnished guest room. WHEW! STOP NOW! But not before putting a tree on the patio and one in the office..... yes is the time of year to be obsessively excessive! I hope to find time to post a page over the holidays of all this madness.

How I spent my weekend: ( I know it is past already, but I am the ultimate procrastinator!)

Put up the first two of the xmas trees for my upcoming holiday party.

Vacumned the fake snow flocking out of every nook and cranny of the living room from tree #1

Deep cleaned the carpet from the ground in fake snow from tree #1

Bought two car loads of new ornaments for tree #1 and #2 since both are planned to be all white trees this year, and all the 23 boxes I unpacked have a total of 6 white ornaments in them!

Filled the balloon room with balloons and had a fun busting session on cam with buddies for my 43rd "burstday"! Virtual parties can sometimes be alot of fun!
